Fabulous application turns MTS into MP4 on iMac OS X 10.9.4

I was a faithful Windows PC user, but at this birthday, my brother sent a Macbook as present to me! Since then, I started to adapt myself to iMac OS X 10.9.4 system but recently I ran into an issue.
I have a Panasonic HDC-TM700 Camcorder and it outputs MTS format files. But what I need is MP4!

I find it really difficult to get a good converter for transcoding MTS to MP4 on iMac OS X 10.9.4. Finally, my brother recommended me Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac which perfectly solved my problems.
Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac is the best converter I’ve ever met. We all know that it is unavoidable for videos to lose some quality during the conversion. But to my great surprise, the output videos from Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac keep its high quality! You can hardly tell the difference of quality between the output videos and the source videos!
It can convert almost all videos like TV shows, AVCHD videos from DVs or camcorders, DVDs, YouTube videos, common videos and even the popular Flip Video/Flip HD Video to Apple ProRes 422, ProRes 4444, DVCPROHD, Apple Intermediate Codec, Avid DNxHD, MKV, MP4, H.264/AVC, MPG, MPEG, AVI, MP3, AAC, AC3, etc with pristine quality.

It supports great many kinds of video and media player, set format parameter for different devices and convert video files in batch mode. What satisfies me most is that Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac is capable of converting any video to editing software on Mac! This is really a great convenience to me!

Next, I will share with you my first experience of operating this software.

1.Firstly, I checked the information about Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac. I found it really compatible to my Macbook!

Recently I bought a camcorder named Avermedia Live Capture HD C985. The camera is able to output .ts format videos. And I want to put the output videos into Adobe Premiere Pro for the postproduction. When I put it directly into Premiere Pro CS6, the video and audio doesn’t synchronize since the Premiere Pro CS6 doesn’t support the variable bitrate.

After thinking it over, I decide to transcode .ts to Mp4 with constant bitrate firstly so that I can use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit it! Sony Waterproof HDR-GW77 Handycam Final Cut Pro X 10.1.1 Supported?

Summary: In this guide, you will learn how to convert Sony HDR-GW77 AVCHD to ProRes 422 codec so that you can import/edit Sony GW77 1080P AVCHD files into Final Cut Pro X 10.1.1 smoothly.

sony-hdr-gw77v-mac.jpg

Sony Waterproof HDR-GW77 Handycam shares most of the same features as Sony's mid-range HDR-CX580V and HDR-PJ580V camcorders. This includes a 1/3.91 CMOS sensor, Full HD recording with 60i or 60p frame rates, 16GB of internal flash memory, a 10x optical zoom, and a $700 price tag.The main difference between the HDR-GW77V and Sony's other 2012 Handycams—besides the waterproof capability—is the camcorder's overall shape and build.

The video format from GW77 is .mts/m2ts in AVCHD codec. I often edit the videos with FCP 7 for sharing with my family and friends. Now the Father's day is coming and I want to edit my home-made shot films with GW77 in the new FCP X. I found AVCHD is not a good codec for editing with FCP because it is adopted with MPEG4-AVC/H.264 AVC. These codecs are not good editing formats, they need a super powerful system to support them well. So I started to look for a easy way to make Sony GW77 AVCHD editble for FCP all the time without any trouble. Finally I found the best way to transcode AVCHD to ProRes before importing to FCP.

I read about Aunsoft MTS Converter for Mac in Appele forum. And I tried to use it to convert AVCHD to ProRes. I found the software converted faster than the others programs, with more options, and the transcoded video is great to view in FCP 10.1.1. So I think that MTS Converter is a great solution for people who has sony's (or AVCHD format) handycams. If you also have met the similiar trouble about AVCHD to FCP importing, you can download the free trial and follow the easy 3 steps to have a try.

Tips:
1) If you want edit in FCP with best quality, you'd better select Apple ProRes 422(HQ)(*.mov).
2) If you want to a smaller file, you need to choose Apple ProRes 422(LT)(*.mov).

Step 3. You can set video resolution(1920×1080/1440×1080/1280×720/720×480), bitrate(from 1Mbps to 20Mbps), frame rate (24p/25p/30p) freely. Get highest setting as the below picture.

Convert Panasonic DMC-ZS35 AVCHD Lite to Apple ProRes

DMC-ZS35-avchd-lite.jpg

You must hear of MTS Recovery, which features recover lost and deleted MTS files from camcorder. But my friend, John, got lots problem to try this software. He shot a wedding yesterday with HMC150. He has Data Rescue 2, which was able to recover JPEG stills from all 214 of my shots (a small thumbnail of the first frame of each shot), but nothing else. the AVCCAM Restorer didn't work. It said "A file necessary for restoration is not found". The Photo Rescue delivered the goods, but the recovered .mts clips are missing heads and tails. Damn it! It's so annoying and time-consuming. Finally, he downloaded iMedia Converter for Mac. It works!

Panasonic introduced the DMC-ZS35 at CES 2014, a compact digital camera that will feature a 20x optical zoom. Its 3-inch (460k dot) LCD can flip upward by 180 degrees for self-portraits. Built-in Wi-Fi allows for remote control of the camera, as well as photo sharing. The camera can shoot continuously at 10 fps, and can also record Full HD video at 1080/30p in AVCHD Lite format. As the CES device mania dies down, if you are going to grasp the new ZS35, you may consider the unavoidable question. How to recognize and convert AVCHD Lite to ProRes for FCP or other NLE software?

Since converting AVCHD to ProRes MOV for native editing in FCP can be a solution, many conversion tools can do it. My friend tried the free Handbrake. But the audio and video are not sync. What's a pity. Anyway, MTS Converter is perfect at this problem and it is affordable. To support for AVCHD MTS files, The program also features transcode AVCHD/AVCHD 2.0 to ProRes MOV, AIC MOV, HDxND MOV, DVCPRO MOV for FCP, iMovie, Avid, QuickTime for viewing and playing. More than 50 output formats makes it is easy to convert MTS/M2TS to AVI, MP4, MPEG, FLV, MKV, WMV, etc for different Media Players. The advanced technology and the clear interface it use make the timesaving conversion process effective and efficient with only 3 or 4 steps. To open and edit AVCHD MTS could be easily.

Below is a step to step workflow for converting AVCHD Lite to ProRes.

Step1. Import MTS files

Click "add video" or "add folder" to load Panasonic DMC-ZS35 AVCHD Lite files. You can also directly drag files to the program. The program supports batch conversion and allows you capture images.

Most intuitive Converter for Panasonic DMC-ZS40 MTS to MPEG-2

The MTS file is the camcorder original file with AVCHD codec. It should be used as your backup archive but may prove difficult to directly edit. Actually, Adobe Premiere (Pro or Elements) or Vegas (Pro or Movie Studio Platinum) can natively edit AVCHD MTS files but require the equivalent of i5/i7 quad CPU hardware. And for 1080 60i/60P footage, your will often find Panasonic AVCHD clips stutter and drop frames when you preview in Adobe or Vegas even with a high end CPU. So MTS to MPEG-2 transport stream conversion is so demanding for native editing.

Onece I transfered the date to the PC HDD with the Panasonic HD Write AE, I saw the video is MPEG-2 transport stream in the computer. I knew the Adobe Premiere, Vegas and Panasonic MPeg2 conversion is able to read and recognize the MTS files easily. And MPEG is also easy for me to creat DVDs. However, I was confused that it downsize to the MPEG-2 transport stream without asking me. The Panasonic technical support said it is due to my pc has no .MTS compatible video card. Damn it! The downsized MPEG-2 is not the same with the original AVCHD file and I was so disappointed with the degradation of quality. Finally I download Aunsoft MTS converter. It works! It keeps the same size and the same quality. And I find it can directly convert AVCHD to VOB format for creating DVD.

Unlike HD Write AE which can only transfer MTS to MPEG-2, to support for AVCHD, The MTS Converter can also convert AVCHD to MOV, AVI, MP4, MPEG, FLV, MKV, WMV, etc for different devices. More than 50 output formats makes it is easy to open and view MTS/M2TS files. The advanced technology and the clear interface it use make the timesaving conversion process effective and efficient with only 3 or 4 steps.

Below is a step-to-step workflow to AVCHD to MPEG-2 transport stream for Sony Vegas Pro 12.

Step1. Import AVCHD files

Click "add video" or "add folder" to load Panasonic DMC-ZS40 MTS. You can also directly drag files to the program.

Step2. Choose output format.

Click "Format" drop-down list to locate all the profile; choose the "Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas -> MPEG-2 (*.mpeg) ". This option offers video profile optimized for NLE editing. You can also choose WMV and H.264 MOV.

Step3. Customize video specs. (Optional)

Step4: Conversion.

Click "Conversion" icon that the MTS Converter will convert HDR-ZS40 AVCHD to MPEG-2 transport stream for Vehas. With just a click on "Open output folder", you can locate the export MPEG-2 quickly. Then you can easily creat DVDs.

Easter Sunday 2014 is April 20 and it would soon arrive. What do people do usually on Easter Day? Many churches hold special services on Easter Sunday, which celebrate the Jesus Christ's resurrection after his crucifixion. Many people also decorate eggs. These can be hard boiled eggs that can be eaten later, but may also be model eggs made of plastic, chocolate, candy or other materials. It is also common to organize Easter egg hunts. Eggs of some form are hidden, supposedly by a rabbit or hare. People, especially children, then search for them.
